Be lazy and exercise at the same time!

It's a no-brainer rest days are important for your muscles to recover. Though, there are those days where you know you have to squeeze in your workout even though you feel too lazy to change from your comfy sweats or Pj's into your workout clothes so you just stare at your wardrobe asking yourself if you should just skip a work out and call it a day. To be committed to exercise does not mean being perfect and not being able to skip a workout. Everyone does from time to time. Life gets in the way. BUT when guilt keeps knocking on the door and you find yourself saying "I want to workout, but I just don't want to leave my room today and i can't be bothered changing ." There's ways to work around that so you're not left feeling guilty, because you can compromise.. You can be lazy and don't have to leave your room.  When i was going through Physio Rehab after surgery, I was bed ridden for awhile and the Physios showed me workouts i could do from just laying in bed, and quite a lot these days i've seen a lot of workout video's on Instagram that demonstrate exercises that can be done without leaving your room.

So here's a few of my faves that you can do anywhere, including in your room, in front of the TV watching re-runs of your favourite show, while still being in your Pjs! OR if you feel lazy while you're outdoors, you can do these aswell. There's no running or jumping involved. All you need to do is  use your body weight. NO weights needed. :) You will still feel flushed after this because of how many sets. I've done it myself.

6-7 SETS, GO! :

  • Standard Squats x 15 reps
  • Calf raises x 20reps
  • Donkey kicks x 15 each reps each leg
  • Leg raises x 15-20 reps
  • Plank 30 seconds
