Guess who finally signed up?! Haha.
After about two years of contemplating. i finally decided it was time. I know it's only a fun run, but i know this will also be challenging for me regardless because I am hardly a runner and i struggle, but i want to get my cardio and endurance up and i know there are a lot of benefits with running so why not let this be a place to start ?
I started running laps on-off last year when i thought i was going to join the colour run but that fell through. So now that i'm actually doing it this year in August, i'm going to start running again. I ran for the first time yesterday since my last run... I must say that although i struggled, It was a better attempt to when i started to run the first time in years last year. I also used my pedometer. and managed to count 5,528 steps in total that day from running , walking and continuing cardio at home after. Might i add my legs were certainly killing me afterwards :( I may have pushed myself a little too hard) so I am defiantly not a runner! Haha, but like i always say to myself doing things together with friends makes things much more motivating and fun and you're more likely to commit that way. so in about 4 months , hopefully i am able to atleast survive TWO laps of running.. We shall see.
I've never joined a race or anything before, the closest thing i've come to signing up to anything was hiit bootcamps so i am excited that i'm finally doing the colour run as it's something different and something i've never done before and with a team of a about 8 people ( TEAM: 'Wii-Not- Fit'), Can't wait for all the colour and i can't wait to cross the finish line :)
