how's quarantine/Iso going?

5:51 pm 0
So here in Australia, we're on on partial lock down (i would say anyways) compared to other parts of the world... A lot of businesses are still going as usual, but at  the same time a lot of businesses have shut temporarily or on the most unfortunate side, have had to announce permanent closure and cease business, and like the rest of the world the front line workers are all working tirelessly.

Most of our time is now spent at home more so than ever, it feels like the world is taking a break/holiday with everyone in iso. Everyone is dealing with the situation differently, but i feel like it's an opportunity to challenge and remind ourselves to get off our butts and keep on the active train. Thankfully, i am working from home at the moment and i'm actually finding i have more time and energy. While it's tough on some days because i miss going to restaurants and seeing my friends and extended family.

I've had more "me time" which means more exercise time, more time to be creative!
One day (5ish weeks ago) i came across an article that was all about the app/website centr. Chris Hemsworth (or some of you might know him as Thor 😜 ) was offering his new 6 week fitness program on the app FREE for 6 weeks! If you've follwowed me for awhile you know i've followed a few  HIIT and circuit programs before. and whilst i still kept going with random workouts off YouTube / Instagram once i was done with following a few programs.  5ish weeks ago i realised it's been a long since i've invested time to follow a program properly.

Centr is a personalized digital health and fitness program curated by Chris Hemsworth consisting of his hand-picked team of internationally renowned experts. Accessible via iOS app, Apple Watch, Android and web, Centr offers daily workouts, meal plans, meditations and a 24/7 community offering support, extra tips and exclusive behind-the-scenes extras. At Centr’s core, we believe in training hard, eating right and living well – the three ingredients for a healthy, happy and well-balanced life.

you don't always need a gym: decline and raised exercises

10:23 pm 0
If there's a will there's a way."- After constant battles with my health and fitness and after finally losing 15kgs i can gladly say there are #noregrets in investing my time and energy, working up a sweat and making my home undercover area my gym and filling it with equipment over the years haha. It doesn't matter where, if it's effective for you and you're getting results then that's all that matters, it's whatever works. I remember when my parents told me they were getting rid of our backyard and swing set to build this room, I didn't agree with any of it. 11 years later I see the cliche "it happened for a reason"❤️ and I take that back now. And yes I know these are easy exercises to some people, but I couldn't do these a month ago and they're still still not perfect but oh well, #progress, still not done yet!!!

 1) Raised Tricep dips: end of couch & seat
2) Decline Push-ups: Exercise step & Mat
